About Us
She couldn't find the bag she wanted. So she made it.
Nomai started in Amsterdam with a mother looking for one bag that could carry her day.
The bags made for babies were practical, but you could spot them from across the street. The bags she actually liked weren't built for bottles, a change of clothes and everything else a day with a baby needs. She wanted one bag that did both, and she couldn't find it.
So she drew it. A structured shape that would sit well next to anything in her wardrobe. An inside where each thing has a place, and a pouch that lifts out so she could take the essentials and leave the bag in the pram. A bag she'd have bought before children and would still carry once they'd grown.
That bag is The Bisou, and it's where Nomai begins.
How it's made
The flap is pebbled microfibre and the body is high-tenacity nylon, picked because they hold their shape and wipe clean. Every piece of hardware is solid brass, from the turn-lock to the zip. Nothing on it comes from an animal.
Who you're talking to
Nomai is run by a small family team. When you write to us, one of us reads it and replies.
Motherhood, carried well.
