Caring for The Bisou
The Bisou is built for daily life: the pram wheel, the café floor, the airport security tray. It doesn't ask to be babied. A little attention now and then keeps it looking the way it did the day it arrived.
Everyday care
Wipe the microfibre flap and nylon body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. That's it, most weeks. For marks that linger, add a drop of mild soap to lukewarm water, wipe gently, then go over it once more with clean water and let it air-dry away from direct heat.
The hardware
The gold-toned brass keeps its finish best when it stays dry. If it catches rain, dry it with a soft cloth rather than leaving it to spot. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which dull the polish.
The pouch
The detachable pouch lifts straight out; there is nothing to unclip. To put it back, rest it against the back panel and the magnets take it. Wipe it clean the same way as the bag.
Spills happen
Milk, purée, coffee: blot, don't rub. A damp cloth immediately after is almost always enough. The interior lining wipes clean the same way. Empty the bag, wipe, and leave it open to dry.
What to avoid
Machine washing, tumble drying, solvents, baby wipes with alcohol, and long stretches in direct sun, which can warm the hardware and tire the tone of the material. Don't hang the bag by one strap when heavily loaded for long periods. Let the structure rest.
Storing it
Between seasons, or between children, store The Bisou in its dust bag, lightly stuffed to hold its shape, somewhere dry and out of the sun. Fasten the turn-lock so the flap keeps its line.
If something goes wrong
As a consumer in the EU you have a two-year legal guarantee of conformity on every Bisou. If a seam, strap, or lock isn't behaving as it should, write to support@nomai-amsterdam.com with a photo and your order number. We'll make it right.
