What is Nomai?
Nomai is a bag brand from Amsterdam. Our first piece is The Bisou, a structured handbag made for the years you carry everything.

Is it animal-free?
Yes. The flap is microfibre, the body is high-tenacity nylon and the hardware is solid brass. Nothing on it comes from an animal.

The Bisou

What is it made of?
A pebbled microfibre flap in deep espresso, a body in high-tenacity nylon, and solid brass hardware with a gold tone, including the turn-lock and the zip. NOMAI is embossed once on the flap.

How do I carry it?
Four ways. By the arched top handle. On the shoulder with one strap. Across the body, by extending one strap and clipping it to the two attachments at the top of the bag. Or as a backpack, with both straps clipped on. Two stroller straps are included so it can hang from the pram.

How big is it?
41 cm wide, 28 cm high and 19.5 cm deep, with a 24 cm handle drop. It's a generous bag, made to hold a full day. The pouch is 28 × 18 cm and the outside pockets are 14 cm deep.

What fits inside?
A full day out. A detachable pouch rests against the back panel, held by magnets, and lifts out with one hand so you can take the essentials and leave the bag behind. Two pockets inside keep bottles upright, two more sit on the outside, and there's a zipped pocket for valuables and a key leash.

Will a laptop fit?
The Bisou is not designed to carry a laptop.

Is it water-resistant?
It handles light rain and everyday spills. It isn't waterproof, so we wouldn't leave it out in a downpour.

How do I look after it?
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. For marks, use a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Keep it away from harsh cleaners, direct heat and long spells in the sun, and store it lightly stuffed so it keeps its shape. The care guide has more.

How much is delivery?
Delivery is free and tracked. Within the European Union, prices include VAT. Outside the European Union, prices are shown in your local currency and include duties, taxes and delivery, so there's nothing more to pay when it arrives.

When will it arrive?
Orders placed on a business day leave the Netherlands within one business day, tracked. Netherlands and Belgium: 1 to 2 business days. France, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg: 2 to 3 business days. Rest of the EU: 3 to 5 business days. United Kingdom: 2 to 3 business days. United States: 2 to 5 business days. Switzerland and Norway: 2 to 4 business days. Australia and New Zealand: 2 to 5 business days. Hong Kong and Singapore: 3 to 5 business days. Gulf countries: 2 to 5 business days.

Do you ship outside the EU?
Yes. We deliver to the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Gulf countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), with duties, taxes and delivery included in the price.

Returns and guarantee

What if it isn't right?
Within the EU, send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, and returns are free. It needs to come back unused, in its dust bag and box, with the tags on. Email support@nomai-amsterdam.com with your order number and we'll send a prepaid label. Outside the EU, customers in the United Kingdom and Norway may return an order within 14 days of delivery, and customers in Saudi Arabia within 7 days, with return shipping at their cost. Orders to all other countries outside the EU, including the United States, are final sale, except faulty or incorrect items, which we replace or refund. Our refund policy has the details.

How quickly will I get my refund?
Within 5 business days of your return reaching us, to your original payment method.

Is it guaranteed?
Yes. Every Bisou carries the two-year EU legal guarantee of conformity. If a seam, strap or lock isn't working as it should, send us a photo and we'll repair, replace or refund it in line with your rights.

What if it arrives damaged?
Email support@nomai-amsterdam.com with photos. We'll replace it or refund you in full and cover the return shipping.
